Opportunities to Serve in the Church
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same
Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
SUNDAY MORNING
Check the bathroom supplies
Pick up trash in the church or on grounds
Help with clean up after church
Take out the trash and replace the liners
Set the thermostats properly
Lock the doors and turn off the lights

MINISTRY TO CHILDREN
Join the team that ministers to children ages first to fifth grade in children's church after the music.
You will be vetted by the Children's Ministry Coordinator, Kathy Barnett, and the GHC Leadership Team.
You will need to obtain a background check
The commitment is to serve one Sunday every 4-6 weeks, depending on the number of volunteers
Follow the gospel-centered curriculum with faithfulness.
SUNDAY REFRESHMENTS
Deliver refreshments by 9:45 am
Set up the coffee and tea bar by 10:00 am
Help with clean up after the chuch service

DISABILITIES MINISTRY
Join the team that provides support to people experiencing disabilities.
The commitment begins with training on disabilities from the Joni & Friends ministry
Speak to Shippen Salas to volunteer and be trained
MEMBERS CARE MINISTRY
Join the team that ministers to church members in need.
Pray for and visit those who are sick, grieving, or alone
Check on those absent for more than 3 weeks
Support those who are experiencing major life events
Send encouraging and consoling cards from the church

Media & Sound
Join the team that provides support during church services by running the computer software or the soundboard.
The commitment begins with learning how to run the computer software or soundboard mixer.
In the beginning, learning includes attending weekly band practice

HOSPITALITY FOR SPECIAL EVENTS
Join the team that provides hospitality for special events during the year by helping organize food, set-up, and clean-up at parties and celebrations, and fellowships.

YARD & BUILDING MAINTENANCE
Join the the team that maintains the grounds and the building of the church.
Commitment is as needed, but is more needed in the spring and summer.
